Czech society broadly supports nature conservation, yet according to the latest sociological surveys, it is still groping for key terms. Most Czechs do not understand tems such as biodiversity, or what the Natura 2000 means, or how the individual categories of protected areas differ from each other or, on the contrary, intersect. The One Nature project therefore focuses on raising public awareness in this area.
Last year, we prepared a leaflet Kde má přednost příroda – Where Nature Takes Preference (only in Czech), which briefly presents the individual categories of protected areas in the Czech Republic, their specifics, irreplaceable benefits and the ways in which we take care of them.
It is available in electronic file (pdf, only in Czech). From the spring 2021, the printed version will be available e.g. in one of the Houses of Nature of the Nature Conservation Agency.
