Basic seminar on Natura 2000 network
Expert education requires a certain level of theoretical knowledge, and therefore the first course of the Natura 2000 educational module contains basic information about the Natura 2000 network.
Teaching will take place as a one-day seminar and the participants will get acquainted with the basic topics and concepts:
- what the Natura 2000 network is,
- its current state and future perspective,
- its incorporation in Czech legislation,
- planning and subsequent implementation of management, management financing options,
- protection against inappropriate site development.
Lectures will be given by employees of the NCA and the Ministry of the Environment who have been dealing with this issue for a long time. In addition, specific lectures will be enriched with specific examples from nature conservation practice.
Due to measures related to the covid-19 pandemic, the first seminar was transformed into a webinar, which took place on 12th and 13th November, see the part We organized the first webinar of the One Nature project.
We are planning another full-time attendance seminar in the first half of 2021.
Advanced seminar on Natura 2000 network
The seminar will address the Natura 2000 network specific evaluation and its connection to other conservation instruments. It is planned for the spring of 2021.
