IPBES game – selecting the most important contributions in a locality.

In April and May 2022, we organised the first three case study workshops to identify specific synergies, conflicts and compromises between ecosystem services and stakeholders in selected protected areas.

CzechGlobe organizers met with representatives from the forestry, fishing, agriculture and mining sectors, municipalities, non-profit organisations, tourism and nature and landscape conservation authorities in the Slavkov Forest, Křivoklát and Třeboň regions. The following photos show examples of activities done within the individual workshops (see the article The first series of participatory workshops on nature’s contributions to people took place in selected regions).

"Are you a pragmatist, sceptic or enthusiast in relation to the topic of nature's benefits to people, i.e., ecosystem services?" was the question asked in the presentation called Ecosystem Services Distribution and Definition.

The participants are getting acquainted with 17 benefits of nature to people, i.e., ecosystem services.
